Good concerts sell out weeks ahead and the great ones go first. Below: the 8 to book early, what each includes and how they differ.
Spend 70 minutes with the Berlin Orchestra, soprano Duangamorn Fu, organist Vladimir Magalashvili, and a violin soloist at Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. The program may include Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Bach’s Toccata and Fugue, Schubert’s Ave Maria, Mozart’s Lacrimosa, and Beethoven’s Fifth.

Spend about three hours at Tipi am Kanzleramt for Cabaret, following Sally Bowles through 1930s Berlin. Expect German dialogue, some English songs, live music, table seating, a €5 food and drink voucher, and views near the Reichstag and Chancellery.

Head to Berlin’s Estrel Showtheater for All You Need Is Love, a Beatles musical performed by the Twist & Shout band. Expect a staged story of the group’s rise to fame, familiar songs such as Help!, Yesterday, and Hey Jude, plus singing, dancing, and Beatles-style looks.
Attend a 90-minute classical concert in the Bode Museum’s Gobelin Hall, with programs ranging from Baroque recorder and organ music to Mozart opera, Beethoven, Haydn, and Romantic songs. Performers include the Mozart Ensemble Berlin, Marianne Boettcher, and Beatrice Wehner-Schaller. Museum admission is included.

At Berlin’s Estrel Showtheater, you’ll watch singers portray Madonna, Whitney Houston, Cher, Robbie Williams, and other music legends. A live band, dancers, big hits, and a Las Vegas-style production fill the two-hour show. New performers include Lady Gaga and Britney Spears on scheduled dates.

Walk from the Alte Nationalgalerie to Berlin’s major historic sights while an English, German, or Russian guide and audio program mix commentary with music. Expect about three hours on foot, headphones, a short break, and little time indoors.
“Basically a pure audio guide tour - the human guide only serves as a signpost, but it was quite nice and interesting. Unfortunately, we also had a technical problem that caused some discontent in the group.”
Join Axel Glorvigen for a 2.5-hour English walking tour from Pariser Platz to Checkpoint Charlie. At the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, and Berlin Wall, live guitar, singing, and violin connect Berlin’s Nazi, Cold War, and creative history to the places around you.

Spend 90 minutes hearing classical music in Köpenick Palace’s Aurora Hall. Programs range from Mozart piano works and opera duets to Bach violin sonatas and Iberian songs. Performers include Maria-Magdalena Pitu-Jokisch, Marianne Boettcher, and the Mozart Ensemble Berlin. Museum admission is included.
