Good concerts sell out weeks ahead and the great ones go first. Below: the 15 to book early, what each includes and how they differ.
Sail along Barcelona’s coast on a 78-foot catamaran as the sun sets over the city. You’ll hear live jazz, relax on the nets about 1 meter above the sea, and buy drinks from the onboard bar. The round trip lasts about 1.5 to 2.5 hours and makes no stops.

Sail for 90 minutes from Moll de Drassanes along Barcelona’s coast on a spacious catamaran. Buy a drink at the onboard bar, stretch out on the front netting, and add live jazz for a relaxed soundtrack. This is a scenic ride, not a guided sightseeing tour.

Sail Barcelona’s coast for 90 minutes aboard a classic wooden Turkish gulet as the sun drops over the Mediterranean. A musician such as Gustavo or Gus may provide guitar, singing, harmonica, or other relaxed live music. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase, but not included.

Travel from Palma to the Caves of Drach by air-conditioned bus with a multilingual guide such as Mariana or Margarita. Walk through the lit caverns, hear a short classical concert, cross Lake Martel by wooden boat, then enjoy free time before returning.

Board the Catamarà Orsom near the end of La Rambla for a 90-minute sunset sail with live jazz, a bar, and open views of Barcelona, the beaches, Montjuïc, and the harbor. The music may be saxophone-led, with an additional musician on some departures. Bring a warm layer.

Spend 2.5 hours at Tenerife’s Piramide de Arona with about 30 performers tracing music from Mozart and Beethoven to Queen, ABBA, and Michael Jackson. Expect live vocals, musicians, dance, theatre, acrobatics, costume changes, film songs, and a 15-minute interval. The show is hosted in English and Spanish.

Spend one hour with the Barcelona Gala Orchestra inside Barcelona’s Basilica of Our Lady of Mercy, a baroque church near La Rambla. The program pairs famous works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, and others with solo performances by violinist Alba Compte Rojas and soprano Ariadna Clapés Capdevila.

At La Castafiore in central Madrid, singing waiters perform opera, zarzuela, and operetta while you eat a Spanish dinner with wine, beer, soft drinks, and coffee. Expect audience interaction, familiar arias, a choice of beef or hake, and a final toast to La Traviata.

Board at Magaluf Beach for a four-hour cruise past Palma Cathedral, the port, Marivent Palace, Illetas, and Punta Negra. Enjoy live saxophone, a Mediterranean buffet, deck seating, and a swim stop with clear water. The boat ends near Palma Auditorium, with a bus back to Magaluf included.

Set out from Portal de la Pau aboard the Catamaran Orsom for 90 minutes of live jazz, cool music, sea air, and Barcelona skyline views. Afternoon and early evening departures include bar service, onboard toilets, and a smooth route near the port and main beach.

At La Castafiore in Madrid, your elegantly dressed waiting staff also perform live opera and zarzuela. Expect a roughly three-hour evening with a four-course Spanish-inspired dinner, one bottle of wine per table, coffee or tea, audience participation, and a lively La Traviata finale.

Spend 50 minutes at Ronda Guitar House with Paco Seco, an internationally known guitarist, composer, and Spanish guitar ambassador. Hear baroque, romantic, Spanish, Andalusian, and flamenco music, enjoy one drink, and visit the Musical Instruments Exhibition in central Ronda.

At The Velvet Room, you’ll hear a 20:30 jam session led by musicians on double bass, drums, guitar, vocals, and harmonica. A different guest artist joins each week. Your $23 ticket includes one cava, wine, beer, or soft drink, plus access to an intimate evening of live jazz, cocktails, and tapas.

Join Luisa or Michael at 8:45 p.m. for a three-and-a-half-hour walk through Madrid’s live music scene. Visit two or three nearby venues around Sol, Chueca, and Malasaña, with styles ranging from blues and jazz to soul and singer-songwriters. Entry is included, drinks are not.
