Choose a 2026 opera at Verona’s ancient Arena, from Aida and Carmen to La Traviata, then collect your ticket at gate 7 on show day. Add a one-hour English or German walking tour to get your bearings. Bring a cushion, skip large bags, and expect hard stone steps.

Spend an elegant evening at Verona’s Palazzo dei Mutilati, five minutes from the Arena. Enjoy Prosecco, a 60-minute program of opera arias and duets with a tenor, mezzo-soprano, and pianist, then meet the performers in the atrium.

Spend 90 minutes with I Virtuosi Italiani, Verona’s respected orchestra founded in 1989. You’ll hear Baroque and Classical works played on original instruments, with famous soloists and conductors connected to the ensemble. The exact meeting point depends on your chosen option.
“oh i expected the orchestra but it turned out like a comedy. More talk, less music. They spoke Italian during the performance. I saw other audience laugh a lot so i guess they enjoyed it. It’s just the show may not a good fit if you dont speak Italian.”
Start at 6:00 PM with an English-guided walk through Piazza Bra, Via Mazzini, Piazza delle Erbe, and Juliet’s House. Then attend an opera in Verona’s Arena, with Category 6 seating, gate assistance, and an optional public transport ticket.
“The city tour was informative and the Opera was an amazing experience. The strange thing is that our opera tickets were for over 65’s and we are not! We were allowed into the arena but suspect that someone is making profit on the tickets by lying about our ages.”

“Je n'avais jamais vu d'opéra et je trouvais l'idée géniale d'en voir un chanté en italien la langue la plus mélodieuse . les chanteurs étaient incroyables, le pianiste très bien. c'est une belle expérience. c'était dans une petite salle avec une vingtaine de spectateurs . expérience à faire lorsque l'arène ne propose pas de spectacle . peut-être un peu cher mais étant donné la prestation de qualité je trouve que ce n'est pas volé.”
Travel from a selected Lake Garda meeting point to Verona by coach or minivan, then attend an opera at the Roman Arena. A tour leader handles the ticket and gate assistance. The 6th-sector seat is on numbered stone steps, so bring or rent a cushion.
“An amazing experience! The atmosphere in the Arena was very exciting and we were so pleased to have had the chance to see such a wonderful open air performance. However, with 3 interval breaks, each lasting some 25 to 30 minutes, the performance was somewhat needlessly stretched to over 4 hours, which we considered a little too long. The coach transfer was very smooth and the guide Alessandro most helpful and informative and spoke perfect english!”
